If you are new to the Heligan Online Shop, the following guidelines will give you an overview of how to use the shop and make a purchase from us online.



1) CHOOSE A DEPARTMENT

Move your mouse pointer over the large basket to the top left of this text (why not try it now). You will see that small icons appear within the basket - each of these represents a department of the Online Shop.

If you click on one of these icons some of the products within that department will be displayed. Each department is divided into three sections however - the links underneath the basket take you to the different sections within each department. For example, ‘The Library’ will initially display ‘Books’, but ‘Audio’ and ‘Video’ sections are also available.



2) SELECT A PRODUCT

If you find a product you would like, you can find out more information about it by clicking on ‘more information’. If you would like to buy it, click ‘add to basket’ to add it to your shopping basket. If you change your mind later, you can remove it again before proceeding to the cash register. You can also add a product straight to your shopping basket and bypass the ‘more information’ page if you so desire.

Alternatively you can add any product to your ‘Wish List’. Products in your Wish List will be remembered by your computer and may be purchased, or discarded, later. Please click here for more information about the Wish List facility.



3) VIEW BASKET CONTENTS

Immediately after adding a product to your shopping basket the entire basket contents are displayed. You can of course continue browsing if you would like to buy something else, or remove the product from the basket if you no longer wish to buy it. You may also change the quantity of the product(s) you would like to buy - but don’t forget to press the ‘Recalculate’ button so the sub-total may adjust accordingly.



4) SELECT POSTAGE ZONE

Before proceeding make sure you have selected the correct postage zone, ‘UK’ or ‘Airmail’. For more information about postage and packing, click here.

When you have selected a postage zone click the ‘Proceed’ button to continue to the ‘Order Confirmation’ page.



5) ORDER CONFIRMATION

This page displays exactly what you are about to purchase, together with the appropriate postage and packing cost for your selected postage zone. It also displays your total order value, which is the amount that will be debited from your credit card. Please check that everything in your order is correct and, if so, click the ‘Proceed to Secure Area’ button.



6) SECURE CASH REGISTER

This is the final stage in the shopping process and takes place over our secure server. Please carefully enter you name, address and various other information so we can process your order. Please take extra care when entering your credit card information as any mistakes could delay your order. When you have completed the form, click the ‘Submit’ button to send us your personal information and order details.

Shortly afterwards you will be sent a confirmation email detailing the products you have ordered and the total cost.



THAT’S IT!
